Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the JCADA 5K Event. Have more questions? Contact event@jcada.org.

1. When and where is the JCADA 5K & Wellness Day?

The JCADA 5K & Wellness Day is on Sunday, April 14, at the Ohr Kodesh Congregation (8300 Meadowbrook Ln, Chevy Chase, MD 20815). Registration and check-in will be from 8:00-8:45am. The race begins at 9:00am.

2. How do I register for the JCADA 5K & Wellness Day?

3. Can I register for the race after online registration closes?

Yes! Same day registration is available the morning of the 5K on Sunday, April 14. You can also register during packet pickup.

4. Will the JCADA 5K be timed?

Yes! We will be using a Professional Chip Timing service. You do, however, have the option to run the event without being timed.

5. Where do I get my JCADA 5K & Wellness Day T-shirt and bib?

You can skip the line and pick up your participant packet and t-shirt at our packet pick-up site during the week before the event. Your T-shirt and bib will also be available for pick-up between 8:00am - 8:50am the morning of the event at registration tables at Ohr Kodesh Congregation.

6. Where should I park for the JCADA 5K & Wellness Day?

7. What if it rains the morning of the JCADA 5K & Wellness Day?

The JCADA 5K & Wellness Day will take place rain or shine! In the event of rain, children’s activities and sponsor booths will be moved indoors.

8. I already registered but am no longer able to attend. Can I transfer my registration?

Yes. If you can no longer attend the 5K, please contact event@jcada.org about transferring your registration.

9. What if I get hurt on the course?

We will have a first aid station on the blacktop near registration. There will also be a medical professional walking the course with participants.

10. Do I have to run the course?

You can run or walk the 5K.

11. Are dogs allowed on the 5K course?

Yes! Dogs are allowed on the course, so long they are kept on a leash.

12. Can kids come to the JCADA 5K & Wellness Day?

Yes! This is a family friendly event! Children (ages 10 & under) can come for free and participate in our Kids Fun Run and crafts activities. Children must be accompanied by a trusted adult throughout the event as we will not be providing full supervision. Stollers are also welcome on the trail with those walking the 5K.

13. How do I support JCADA if I can't make it to the event?

You can support JCADA’s critical, lifesaving services and make a difference in the life of someone suffering the effects of abuse by making a donation here.
